Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School History
History was made by 1,150 students when Fieldale-Collinsville High School first opened in 1965, drawing its student body from among four rival Henry County high schools. The Class of 1966 were the first 140 students to end their high school careers as Cavaliers. For Fieldale-Collinsville High School students during the 1965 school year, highlights included "playing sports and cruising around Ayer's and Jan's (local drive-in restaurants)."
The Cavalier, who has served as the school's mascot since it opened in 1965, fittingly received the last diploma of the final graduating class of Fieldale-Collinsville High School. In the fall of 2004, the high school became Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School.
"History is a relentless master. It has no present, only the past rushing into the future. To try to hold fast is to be swept aside."
-John F. Kennedy
