Jennifer Gunter

Hello Cavalier families!

I am thrilled to join the Fieldale-Collinsville school community as one of the Assistant Principals. With 23 years of experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of serving 12 years as a physical education teacher and 11 years as a school counselor. I’m a proud graduate of this very school, Class of 1997, and I’m excited to rejoin the Cavalier community. Outside of school, I enjoy playing golf, working around the yard, and spending time with my wonderful family—my husband, two kids, and two cats. I'm also a huge Virginia Tech Hokie fan!

One of the most rewarding parts of my career is witnessing student growth—academically, socially, and emotionally. I’m passionate about supporting students as they discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and build confidence in themselves.

 I value accountability, respect, and collaboration.  I am eager to work with families and our amazing Cavalier faculty and staff to support our students in all areas.  Please feel free to reach out should you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hello.  I look forward to building relationships with you all and making this a great year!
