Ms. Franketta Tatum

Welcome to another school year, Cavilers! I'm so very proud to serve our community as principal.  As I embark on year seventeen in education, I'm most grateful for the positive relationships I've established with students, families, and staff members. I understand that healthy relationships require consistent, two-way lines of open communication. Please know that I'm only a call or email away. I will assist in finding a resolution to your questions, needs, or concern(s).

At FCMS, I lead a school of learners who excel academically, emotionally, socially and personally.  Our faculty and staff possess instructional excellence and equitable expectations for themselves, their colleagues, and their students. Because we are a team, we will support, celebrate, and encourage each other against every opponent. Together, everyone will achieve more! 

As you become acquainted, or reacquainted with our building, you will notice several new faces and names. Please join me in welcoming our newest teammates to our community. In order to perform to the best of our abilities, we need one another. Take the time to establish relationships in the coming days that will aid in strengthening your opportunities for success at FCMS. 

In addition, please take a moment to review the updated HCPS Code of Conduct and our PBIS goals/expectations. Ensuring that all stakeholders are well informed will help ensure that we're all on the same page and reading from the same "playbook" and equipped for successful day-to-day experiences.
